ERL joins Green Flag Supporters

Elite Racing Legends has recently been added to the Green Flag Supporter list of Augusta International Raceway Preservation Society's non-profit project at the former Augusta International Raceway. We are proud to be a part of such project and be adding to the cause.

As mentioned in previous post (see here), the Rex White Motorsport Memorial Plaza - Home to 5Wkids Outdoor Learning Area is a project meant to make kids ask "...who, what, when, where, why?" concerning Motorsport, nature, history and life as a whole.

Being in such a historic place, the former Augusta International Speedway which is being transformed into a Diamond Lakes Regional Park, a perfect place for youngsters to learn.

The current goal now is to place four more benches at the Memorial to be able to seat a whole class of kids. Fund raising for two of the benches are currently underway.

One of the benches will be placed in honour of Adam K. Petty, whose grandfather, Richard Petty competed in Augusta International Speedway racing facility a numer of times back in the 1960s.

The second bench will honour the legendary Carroll Shelby. The Carroll Shelby Team competed in the racing facility in March, 1964.

As the Augusta International Raceway Preservation Society (AIRPS) is a non-profit organisation, your help is needed to complete the Memorial Plaza. Donations are needed in order to place the two, currently planned benches.

Visit their Facebook page for more information and we encourage you to add to the cause.
